Submission of Life Certificate by Pensioners (Jeevan Pramaan Patra): Due Date Extended from 30 Nov. 2016 to 15 Jan. 2017

The Govt. has decided to extend the due date/ last date for submission of the ‘annual life certificate’ or say ‘jeevan pramaan patra’ for the Central/ State Government pensioners from 30 Nov. 2016 to 15 Jan. 2017. The same has been done keeping in view the fact that due to exchange of old currency, the banking system will stay overloaded upto 31 Dec. 2016.

It may be noted that submission of ‘life certificate’ or ‘jeevan pramaan patra’ is one of the major requirements for the pensioners post their retirement from government service.

This certificate is to be submitted to the authorized pension disbursing agencies (PDAs) like Banks, Post offices etc. and these agencies carry on crediting pension of respective individuals during the next 12 months. In order to get this life certificate, concerned individual pensioner is required either to be personally present before the Pension Disbursing Agencies (PDAs) or to get the Life Certificate issued by authority where they served for followed with submission to PDAs.
