The WSIS Forum 2023 was organized on the theme of ‘WSIS Action Lines for Building Back Better and Accelerating the Achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)’.

The Ministry of Panchayati Raj has been leveraging digital technology to deliver good governance in rural areas and ensure transparency and accountability in the functioning of Panchayats. The AuditOnline application was launched on 15th April 2020, in response to the concerns raised by the Central Finance Commission over the availability of audited accounts of Panchayats. The application enables online audits of accounts, further strengthening the financial management and transparency of the Panchayats. The application is configurable as per each State’s Audit Act / Rules.
