EPFO Clarifies that final PF withdrawal in the case of International Workers (IWs)/ Expats from non SSA Countries is allowed only after retirement from service or attaining the age of 58 years, whichever is later.
Based on Audit observations, the EPFO has issued a clarification on final withdrawal of PF in respect of IWs/ Expats who are from countries not having a Social Security Agreement with India (Non-SSA Countries) stating that the amended/ substituted Para 69(1)(a) under the EPF Scheme permits final withdrawal by an IW from a Non-SSA country only after attaining the age of 58 years.
Accordingly, full and final withdrawal of the accumulations standing to the credit of provident fund account of an International Worker (IW)/ Expats from non SSA country is possible only after retirement from the service at any time after the attainment of the age of 58 years.

If an International Worker leaves India before attaining the age of 58 and where his visa expires, his Indian bank account will also freeze, so where will he be receiving the amount contributed? Also can be partly withdraw the amount during his service
I’m from Malaysia. I was working in Hyderabad India from 2007 to 2014. Now I’m 58 years old and would like to know the procedure of EPF final withdrawal. What documents I need to present in EPFO? I had a valid PAN card and EPF account number. I am told by someone that I MUST have Aadhar Card for my withdrawal application. Is it really required? I don’t have the same. My SBI account not active anymore n can EPF do transactions through my bank account in Malaysia?
