Council of the ICAI has released a draft set of proposed amendments in certain clauses of the Chartered Accountants (CA) Regulations, 1988, for review and comments/ suggestions for taking into consideration before formal finalisation thereof, i.e. ‘the Chartered Accountants (2nd Amendment) Regulations, 2022‘.
All objections, comments and/ or suggestion on the draft amendments to the CA Regulations can be forwarded within 30 days, i.e. upto 01/07/2022, by any concerned Stakeholders, to:

The amendments proposed in these Regulations are related with both the Study and the Profession, like pre-requisite of 1 year post qualification work experience for seeking COP, Foundation exam registration after 10th, exemption from Foundation exam for candidates who have passed Intermediate CWA/ CS exam, Articleship duration reduced from 3 years to 2 years, increased/ doubled stipend rates, etc.
