ICAI Postpones Karnataka CA Inter Exams on 10 May 2023

The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) has made an important announcement regarding the postponement of the Chartered Accountants (CA) Intermediate Examination scheduled for 10th May 2023 in the state of Karnataka. Karnataka Assembly Election Leads to CA Exam Rescheduling

Due to the upcoming General Election to the Legislative Assembly in Karnataka, the ICAI has decided to reschedule the CA Intermediate Course Examination, Group I, Paper 4 (Taxation) that was initially planned for 10th May 2023 (Wednesday). The exam will now take place on 20th May 2023 (Saturday).

Examination Centers and Timings Remain Unchanged

The examination centers for the rescheduled exam will remain the same, including Bagalkot, Belgaum, Bellary, Bengaluru, Chikkaballapur, Chitradurga, Davangere, Gadag, Hassan, Haveri, Hubli, Kalaburgi, Kolar, Koppal, Mandya, Mangalore, Mysore, Raichur, Shimoga, Sirsi, Tumakuru, Udupi, and Vijayapura. The timings for the exam will also be unchanged, with the paper scheduled from 2 PM to 5 PM.

Validity of Admit Cards

Candidates should note that the admit cards already issued for the exam will remain valid for the revised date. There is no need to obtain new admit cards for the rescheduled examination.

No Changes to Exams in Other Cities and Dates

The ICAI has clarified that the schedule for CA examinations in all other cities and dates, as notified in the Announcement dated 10th January 2023, will remain unchanged. Candidates from other cities need not worry about any alterations to their exam schedules.
