PM Inaugurates Diamond Jubilee Celebrations of CBI on 3rd April

On 3rd April, Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi is set to inaugurate the Diamond Jubilee Celebrations of the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) at 12 noon at Vigyan Bhawan, New Delhi. This event marks 60 years of dedicated service by the CBI in investigating high-profile and complex cases across the country.

Investiture Ceremony and Awards for Exceptional Service

During the celebrations, the Prime Minister will preside over an Investiture Ceremony for recipients of the President’s Police Medal for Distinguished Service and the Gold Medal for Best Investigating Officers of the CBI. These prestigious awards recognize the outstanding work and unwavering commitment of the CBI’s officers in ensuring justice and upholding the rule of law.

Inauguration of New CBI Office Complexes

As part of the Diamond Jubilee celebrations, Prime Minister Modi will also inaugurate newly constructed office complexes for the CBI at Shillong, Pune, and Nagpur. These state-of-the-art facilities will provide a modern and efficient working environment for the agency’s officers, further enhancing their ability to carry out their important investigative work.

Release of Commemorative Postage Stamp and Coin

To mark the CBI’s Diamond Jubilee year, the Prime Minister will release a special Postage Stamp and Commemorative Coin. These collectibles serve as a tribute to the hard work and dedication of the CBI officers and staff over the past six decades.

Launch of CBI’s Official Twitter Handle

In a bid to enhance communication and transparency, the Prime Minister will also launch the official Twitter handle of the CBI. This social media platform will allow the agency to share important updates, announcements, and information with the public in a timely manner.

A Brief History of the CBI

The Central Bureau of Investigation was established on 1st April, 1963, by a resolution of the Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of India. Over the years, the CBI has earned a reputation for its professionalism and expertise in handling high-profile cases that require meticulous investigation and a thorough understanding of the law.
