The ICAI has made an announcement to inform that the CAG office is soliciting applications for Empanelment of CA Firms/LLPs for the year 2024-25.
This empanelment will allow CA Firms/LLps to be considered for appointment as auditors of companies as mandated by Sections 139(5) and 139(7) of the Companies Act 2013, as well as of statutory corporations and autonomous bodies as per the provisions of their respective legislative Acts.
The application form and detailed instructions can be accessed on the CAG’s website https://care.cag.gov.in/Authorised/Default.aspx during the period January 5 to February 15, 2024.
Applicant CA firms/LLPs are required to provide current data reflecting their status as of January 1, 2024.
Upon populating/updating the requisite information, CA firms/LLPs must generate an online acknowledgement letter for the year 2024-25. Failure to produce this electronic acknowledgment will render their applications ineligible for empanelment.
Applicant CA Firms/LLPs are required to submit a printed copy of the online generated acknowledgement letter along with hard copies of supporting documents to the CAG Office by February 28, 2024.
