MCA has extended the deadline for filing Form DIR-3 KYC (including DIR-3 KYC Web) in respect of Financial Year (FY) 2021-22 from 30/09/2022 to 15/10/2022 without payment of fee, as announced in General Circular 9/2022 dated 28/09/2022.
MCA Update dt. 16/10/2022: Please note that the last date for filing DIR-3 KYC for Financial year 2021-22 has expired on 15/10/2022. The process of deactivating the non-compliant DINs shall be initiated and will be completed in some time. Stakeholders should note that web service DIR-3 KYC shall not be available for filing during the pendency of this activity. Filing of DIR-3 KYC can be made after completion of the scheduled activity, as above, when the service is made available on the portal after payment of applicable fees. Stakeholders may kindly note and plan accordingly.

1. A representation has been received in the Ministry requesting for extension of time beyond 30/09/2022 for filing e-form DIR-3-KYC and web-form DIR-3-KYC-WEB without payment of fee.
2. The matter has been examined in the Ministry and it has been decided to allow filing of e-form DIR-3-KYC and web-form DIR-3-KYC-WEB without filing fee upto 15/10/2022.

Late fees should be given some relief in the case of Form DIR-3 KYC on the same lies like Form 8 (LLP), i.e. Rs 10 to 20 per day instead of Lump sum Rs 5000. Reason behind the view is that no information in this Form affects the Govt as the same is meant for submission of basic information of the DIN Holder only.
